Giving students choices, that I can live with and saying the choices in a clam voice has been the easiest and reliable strategy from Love and Logic. I really think kids want to make good choices, they just get carried away sometimes.

Ideas brought back to my classroom

Miss Toliver's video really stood out, especially since I am a visual learner. Since our training I have watched two more of her videos, she makes learning become alive. I have tried to bring more life connections into my teaching.

I liked seeing and actually doing Kagan's cooperative stategies. I have used them in my classes, students do become more engaged in learning.

Lastly, an opportunity to be with other counselors and share ideas was really beneficial.
